Mings Chinese Restaurant in Wichita, Kansas is closing for good soon. The last day it will be open is June 30th or sometime shortly thereafter.
After 47-years.
I went recently with Fert The Foodie and ordered up the BBQ Pork Egg Fu Yung. It was an excellent dish. I loved that brown savory gravy and after awhile just mixed it all together with the rice. I also was allowed ONE foiled chicken…it was Fert’s chicken so I said “fine.” The chicken was excellent. Making the chicken in the foil creates this char that hits the spot. I’m told there aren’t too many (or any?) places in town with this foiled chicken.
If you want to get your last Ming’s visit in, or haven’t been before, but want to check it out before you can’t — the time is now.
When Fert and I went it was packed. So be prepared for a bit of a wait.
