I go to events or places so often and it seems like there’s always so much to say. Do I tell you about all of the great burgers that I got to try at ICT Burger Battle and all burger places that put their hearts and souls into trying to win first place and/or get noticed? Do I tell you about how I observed KETCH (which is the organization that this was a fundraiser for) actually doing its mission in real time? Observing adults with developmental disabilities out and having burgers just like everyone else (because they are everyone else)? Or do I tell you about the vendors I stopped at like Gypsum Hills Natural — a new company that raises their own grass fed cattle? Or the guy that sells beard balm made with honey? Or do I talk about the car show and the people that invested their own time and money to show you their passion? I don’t know. So I guess I’ll just say nothing other than to say…thanks for asking me to be a judge, KETCH. It was an honor. I mean that — I didn’t do anything that really mattered, but maybe the little bit helps. Regardless, I had a great time. And I appreciate all of the vendors including the burger vendors we got to try. Shout out to Bricktown Brewery – Wichita, KS – N. Rock Road, Burger Central, Fizz Burgers & Bottles, Gypsum Hills Natural, INTRUST Bank Arena, Jumbo’s Beef & Brew, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Southeast Carryout, The Appetite 316 and Tor Brewing .
