Nova laid her head down as her friend at Furever Friends of Grant County, KS walked out the door and the lights outside went out. It would be another lonely night with nobody to keep her company, tell her she was a good girl or get the opportunity to give a sweet mamma or daddy some kissies.

It had been a long time. Too long. Two years long of being in the Ulysses, Kansas Animal Shelter. Two years.

As Nova stood up to get a quick drink of water to quench her pallet, she did a BIG stretch. It was a good stretch. The goodest. She wondered what the Animal Control Officer (Officer Langston) meant when she had given her a kiss and said “Maybe TKG can help. He’s a softie deep down….” She laid back down, closed her eyes and dreamt of her forever home.

Nova is a good doggie. I have personally met her. But she has to be in a unique home — no kids, no cats, no other dogs. Just loving parents.
