MATCH 4 OF TKG’s ARTICHOKE SANDWICH BAR TOURNAMENT
To celebrate the opening of the second location of The Artichoke Sandwichbar (Artichoke Sandwichbar East) located at 29th St. and Rock Rd. in Wichita, Kansas, I am trying every sandwich on the menu.
Match 1 saw the Twisted Seester beat out the Corned Beef. Match 2 saw The Knockout! knockout The Turkey. In Match 3 the Roly Moly eeeked out a victory over Notorious P.I.G.
Match 4 is THE Famous No. 8 v. the Roast Beef. In one corner you have turkey, bacon, Swiss and cream cheese with dressing and Parmesan cheese. In the other corner you have a bunch of roast beef, Swiss and mayo. Though the Roast Beef fought valiantly, as some of you Gastronfans would expect, THE Famous No. 8 easily won. But be warned all you naysayers that haven’t tried half of the menu, but still believe the No. 8 is the best sandwich (how come people say something is the best without trying everything…I don’t get it)…No. 8 has a long road ahead.
