There’s a new food truck in Wichita, Kansas that has only been around for a little more than a week or so. It’s called LOKAL EATZ and it is an Indian food truck.
They have a pretty limited menu consisting of Dosa (kind of a southern India crepe), Noodles, Fried Rice, Idli (rice cake) and Chicken Pickles.
During my visit I ordered the Ghee Karam Dosa, which had a bit of heat, but had good flavor and great sauces including a chutney. I also ordered some Chicken stir-fried noodles. I really liked the noodles, but they were a bit dry. But I don’t mind, and sometimes even prefer that as I can slather my own sauces on or in this case some of the sauce that came with the Doma.
Lokal Eatz parks just east of Wichita State University off of 21st St. That would be between (just east of) the Family Dollar store and (just west) the U-Stor Storage parking lot. I’m not sure what their hours are, but I stopped by on a weekday evening around 6:30pm.
One other cool thing is there is a little table by the truck that you can grab some Masala Chai to sip on while you wait and if you want, you can eat your food on a few picnic tables by the truck.
