In Wichita,Kansas there’s a small restaurant/carryout spot called Eggroll Express ICT. It is located in southwest Wichita just west of Broadway on W. 31st St. at 331 W. 31st S, Wichita, KS 67217.
Eggroll Express sells eggrolls (duh), but also has a pretty diverse menu consisting of noodles, fried rice, wings, various chicken dishes, and lo mein, etc.
I ordered up the Vietnamese Pork Egg Rolls as well as “Spices of Life Stir-Fry Ramen.”
The eggrolls had a nice crisp to them and were fuller than I think some eggrolls are out there. I definitely enjoyed them. As far as the entree, I also enjoyed it. There was a slight kick to it. Apparantly you can order it “extra hot,” but it was lunchtime and didn’t really want to risk it being so hot I’d have problems later. But I had no problem with the heat that it came with. If you do fine in they have chili oil and you can see I added some Siracha.
The service was also very good. I think it was the owner’s sister (or sister in law?) whom took care of me. She answered my many questions, wad very friendly and incredibly helpful.
Do be aware that this place currently has two tables. One table seats four and the other seats two. It did seem to me like they probably do a decent amount of carryout, but also seemed like this place could use your support. I’d definitely recommend that if you’re looking wanting some great Asian food from a local spot, you check this place out.
By the way, they do have pho when it gets cold out again. The way it was described to me, it sounded tasty. So I will be back to try that.
