I’m not sure how long it has been. But Cottonwood Coffeehouse in Lakin, Kansas recently changed ownership. In 2024.
A very kind, young couple from Montezuma, Kansas that had previously run the food truck called The Muffin Top Bakery Shop, which specialized in Mennonite baked goods, tacos, breakfast and yummy drinks, decided to move to Lakin and continue Cottonwood Coffee.
I’d previously blogged about both Cottonwood Coffee in Lakin as well as The Muffin Top Bakery Shop food truck in Montezuma. So it only made sense for me to go and check it out.
I ordered up the Omelette and I was quite impressed. Coming in at 3-eggs, with bacon or sausage (I went with bacon and ham), cheese and spinach…it was quite tasty. And I knew it would be. I had enjoyed this place before and having had Enny’s cooking at her old food truck, I knew it would be at least as good as it had been.
Cottonwood Coffee is open for breakfast and lunch and is located on Main Street in Lakin, Kansas. I’m intentionally not giving the address because if you make it to Lakin and make it to Main Street and still can’t find it, that’s on you and you need to reevaluate your life.
