MY FAVORITE DISH THIS YEAR.
Alright, here’s the deal. Lima Nation Peruvian Kitchen invited Fert The Foodie and me to come check them out recently. That means our food was paid for. l’m telling you that because I ALWAYS do. And as always, I tip based on the actual price of the food and then some.
The reason that I was invited was because, frankly, they have been struggling. I mean every time I have been, they don’t have much of a crowd. It’s a dang shame. It really is. Because, my favorite dish I have had this year, period, is this dish. And I had it the other day.
It’s called the “Tallarin Verde with Lomo.” It’s a pasta coated in Lima’s homemade Peruvian Pesto with potatoes with Huacaina Sauce and sautéed beef tenderloin. Don’t know what that means? Me either. But that’s okay. The beef was cooked perfectly. The pesto was excellent. The noodles were the right consistency.
Lima Nation Peruvian Kitchen is located just east of 21st and K-96 in Wichita, Kansas. I absolutely recommend you get this dish. If you don’t like it, it’s on you. It’s absolutely incredible, I loved it and after thinking about it for a few days, I have decided it’s the best dish I have had in 2024.
Peace out, Gastrofans.

P.S. I enjoyed all of the appetizers and entrees we tried. The Shrimp Tartare Wontons, the Taradito Rocoto (the white fish dish), the Rotisserie Chicken and fries and the salad. But for me, there is no doubt that that pesto dish is incredible and you should try it.
