“And so he just comes up at the most inopportune times and interrupts?!? That’s hilarious!!!” Tracy Rutledge exclaimed as she slapped her hand on the bar top.
“Yeah, T-Dawg! I’m constantly in the middle of telling a joke or at the conclusion of an amazing story and then Doug pops up to show someone, or more likely say something, stupid. It’s so annoying. And then I can’t finish the gosh darn story.”
TKG often times referred to the co-owner of the Artichoke Sandwichbar Midtown and the Artichoke Sandwichbar East in Wichita, Kansas as “T-Dawg.”
TKG reflected on that conversation as he dug into the food he’d ordered to-go as he sat in Doug’s basement.
He really enjoyed the Gaelic Guinness Stew with its steak with Guinness gravy, peas, carrots, and potatoes. The broth was drinkable. He made a mental note to order it again. He also tried the Longford Cottage Pie. He liked it, but preferred the stew and the Bangers & Mash (which he previously had tried) over the Cottage Pie (also known as Shepherd’s Pie).
