I went to M.I.F. Deli in Wichita, Kansas at 5618 E. Central Ave. recently. For those that don’t know, M.I.F. has amazing Mediterranean food and is owned by Ali and LaDonna. It’s been in operation since 1969.
I ordered the Chicken Curry. I wouldn’t go here frequently if it wasn’t excellent. Enough about the food.
It’s interesting. We fight about so much in life. I’m not a philosopher or a psychologist or pretend to know what makes humanity tick. But darn it, isn’t there too much hate in this world? I mean, seriously? Whether it’s in this town, this state, this country or this world.
And regardless of how or why, ultimately hate caused Ali to lose six members of his family recently, including an 8-year old child, to bombings in Beirut, Lebanon.
My condolences to Ali. Actually, what does “condolences” even mean? I could look it up, but that sounds kind of stupid.
Let me try again.
Ali, I’m so sorry for your loss. For your family’s loss. And that the world decided that hate mattered more than anything else.
