I informally met the owner of Ladybird Diner on Mass Street in Lawrence, affectionately known as LFK. IYKYK.
She was so kind. Actually, all of the servers were so kind. The owner told me that in August the restaurant celebrated 10 years of being in business.
Seriously, there was such a cool vibe about this spot. Everyone was happy to be in the restaurant. From the cooks to the servers to the owner. You know, I’ve blogged about hundreds of restaurants. Honestly thousands. And it always starts from the top.
When I stopped by I ordered the Choreezy Scramble, which came with chorizo sausage scrambled with eggs, peppers, onions, cheddar & cotija cheeses, topped w/ hatch chile cream. With fried potatoes and toast or corn tortillas. It was a great dish.
And to those that want to whine and say “I can’t believe you didn’t get a piece of pie TKG!!!” I won’t hear it. I didn’t want one. I’ll do it next time. Because I’ll be back.
