To celebrate the opening of Artichoke Sandwichbar East located at 29th St. and Rock Rd. in Wichita, Kansas, I am trying every sandwich on the menu.
Here are the matches so far:
1. Match 1 – Twisted Seester beat Corned Beef
2. Match 2 – The Knockout! knocked out The Turkey
3. Match 3 – The Roly Moly beat Notorious P.I.G.
4. Match 4 – THE Famous No. 8 beat the Roast Beef
5. Match 5 – The Reuben beat The Pastrami
6. Match 6 – Nancy’s Roast Beef beat The Seester
7. Match 7 – The Submarine sank the Little Havana
8. Match 8 – Paddy’s Pickled Pepper Wrap edged out The Rachel
ROUND 2
1. Match 1 – Twisted Seester beat the Annie’s B-Slap-N-BLT
2. Match 2 – The Hot Links knocked out the Knockout.
3. Match 3 – The Roly Moly rolled its way past the Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
This is Round 2, Match 4
Match 4 is The Famous No. 8 v. The Club. In one corner (The Famous No. 8 ) you have turkey, bacon, Swiss & cream cheese, lettuce & tomato, grilled on an onion hoagie, topped with Italian dressing & Parmesan cheese. In the other corner (The Club) you have bacon, turkey, ham, Swiss & American cheese, lettuce, tomato & mayo.
This was easy. Obviously the famous sandwich moves on. However I do want to say — the Club was a fine club and more importantly this thing was YUGE.
