Gastrofans and Gastrofools (those that don’t follow me),
I’ve done something you haven’t. I have now tried all 24 of the sandwiches at Artichoke SandwichbarArtichoke Sandwichbar. Yeah. I know it took me four months. Get over it.
These are my TOP 8 sandwiches. I suggest you save this ish somewhere. And now for all the matchups.
1. Twisted Seester (turkey, bacon, mustard, cream cheese, Swiss cheese & jalapeños grilled on an onion hoagie) v. Hot Links (mildly hot & spicy on an onion hoagie. Choice of any or all of the following: BBQ sauce, sauerkraut, mustard & Swiss). I’M GOING WITH HOT LINKS.
2. Roly Moly (grilled chicken, guacamole spread, shredded cheddar, jalaperios & our southwest sauce, grilled in a wrap) v. Famous No. 8 (turkey, bacon, Swiss & cream cheese, lettuce & tomato, grilled on an onion hoagie, topped with Italian dressing & Parmesan cheese). FAMOUS NO. 8 barely wins.
3. Reuben (corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Thousand Island dressing on rye bread, grilled) v. Nancy’s Roast Beef (Roast beef, Swiss & cream cheese, lettuce & tomato with ranch dressing on a grilled onion hoagie). The Reuben wins this.
4. Submarine (Pastrami, turkey, ham, Swiss & American cheese, lettuce & tomato with Italian dressing on a wheat hoagie, topped with Parmesan cheese) v. Paddy’s Pickled Pepper Wrap (Wrap with Swiss & cream cheese, corned beef, diced pickle & jalapeño peppers, grilled to perfection). I’m going with the PPPW.
