Thanksgiving.
I think (I’m just a gastronomist) that Thanksgiving is supposed to be about “thanks” and “gratitude.” In whatever way you believe in it. So, what I am thankful for? What I am grateful for?
I know I’m grateful for Hope and Remus. My doggos came from Kansas Humane Society and Kansas K-9 ResQ. Love those organizations.
I know I’m grateful for not-for-profits that are doing good for those that have nothing. Like HumanKind Ministries, ICT Food Rescue and Union Rescue Mission of Wichita. And SO many others.
I know I’m grateful for The Pando Initiative, which teaches our children, in collaboration with our wonderful public school teachers.
I know I’m grateful and thankful for friends and family. You know who you are.
I know I’m grateful for so many others. Others that bust their butts to do good of some kind. Way too many to list. I believe that most humans are good and I’m grateful for the good ones.
And that’s ultimately what I’m grateful for.
