Whenever I pass through Cimarron, Kansas, I like to stop by The Bake Shoppe at 108 S. Main St. It’s owned and run by Mennonites and all the food appears to me to be homemade.
What I really like is picking up the “premade” meals that I can put in the oven when I’m on the road. Super convenient. I can swing by and in 3-minutes be out the door with a meal for the evening.
This time I purchased the Crunchy Ham & Potato Casserole. It fed three of us and was very tasty. It included ham, hash browns, sour cream, cheddar cheese, chicken soup, butter, green onion and pepper, with cornflake crumbs and butter on the top. It’s enough to feed three people (I know…I was there).
I’ve previously had the Tator Tot Casserole, and that is definitely my favorite of the two, but this one was worth getting.
