I don’t want to hear any of you whine and say “Oh…TKG, we can’t go to RAHA Mediterranean on N. Oliver just north of K-96 in Wichita,Kansas to eat because you have to be a member of Tap N Paddles!”
That would be stupid and untrue. And would rob you of the opportunity to check out the Mediterranean food put out by Jason Rickard of FioRito Ristorante, whom is cheffing it up in this brand new restaurant.
Some important answers to questions each one of you have:
1. Why is the restaurant Mediterranean? Jason Ricard spent time in Jordan and Israel, eating falafel every single day, multiple times per day. Side note — that damn falafel you can see in the photos was great.
2. When will it be open to the public? It will officially be open sometime at the end of May. That is the goal. Sometimes goals are met. Sometimes they are exceeded. Sometimes they are not met.
3. Will there be separate entrances for RAHA and Tap N Paddles? Dumb question. Of course. This is a review of the restaurant.
4. How come you got to go to RAHA and I didn’t? Because I suck. But also because they asked me and other foodies to come check out some of the food and facilities so that we could tell you about it before they officially open.
5. Are there others that deserve a shout out TKG? Yes, thanks for asking. Alex of Station 8 BBQ provided the excellent brisket and various BBQ sauces. So good. Also, thanks to Wichita By E.B. for getting the group together, including 316foodie (Instagram), Plate Envy , Wichi.Taco, Nina’s.Munchies (Instagram), Bottomless Pit ICT, Jen with the Coffee, Lets.Eat.ICT, Wichita Life and ICT Tatum of KWCH 12 News.
I’m out.
