FULL DISCLOSURE: I was invited by the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce to promote Winfield’s Restaurant Week happening April 17th-26th. I was not paid, but was provided $ to pay for meals. This is one of several stops I made along with Bottomless Pit ICT and Lets.Eat.ICT.
When I drove to College Hill Coffee in Winfield, I genuinely said “where the heck is this place.” Not Winfield…College Hill Coffee. It’s tucked away in a residential part of the city in this one-story house. It’s pretty dang cool, actually. And my gawa, I really liked the Sausage Quiche I grabbed. And it was one of the larger servings I have had. Paired with an Americano, well it was a tasty start to my journey. I also loved that CHC supports “local,” and even have board up showing what local suppliers and producers that they support.
College Hill Coffee is one of the thirteen restaurants participating in Winfield’s Restaurant Week. The other spots are: American Legion Chapter 10, El Azteca Mexican Restaurant, El Maguey, Gambino’s Pizza (Winfield), Grammies Sandwiches, IKES DONUT SHOP, LADYBIRD BREWING, Luigi’s italian Restaurant of Winfield KS, Oasis Coffee Shop, Rivers Eagle Bar & Grill, Scooter’s Coffee (Winfield, KS) and Winfield Country Club. You can get a Winfield Restaurant Week passport. Five stamps or more and be entered to win $100 in Chamber Checks. If you get all thirteen stamps, you get a FREE Winfield Restaurant Week T-shirt. Each business will also have a special that week that will be listed on the back of the passports. Passports should be turned into the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 123 E. 9th Ave., April 27-29th. The drawing for $100 in Chamber Checks will be held May 1st.
