Alexis (Lexi) Christine Sparks was just six-months old when she passed in 2006. Though most of her short life was spent in the hospital, she was a fighter and managed to go home to be with her family for a few days.

I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child, but I suspect it has to be the worst kind of pain imaginable. Which is why I want to tell you about the amazing not-for-profit Lexi’s LAMB Foundation.

Lexi’s family started it in 2007 to bring comfort to kids while they are in the hospital. According to the Mission Statement, “The mission of Lexi’s LAMB Foundation is to provide financial, emotional and material support for sick children and special needs children through a partnership with parents, family, and medical staff.”

If you wondered what “LAMB” means, it’s an acronym that stands for “Little Angels Memorial Benefit.” So, Lexi’s Little Angels Memorial Benefit Foundation.

If you want to know more, be sure to follow Lexi’s LAMB Foundation social media pages. And if you are interested in giving in some way — you can donate new toys to this not-for-profit, donate $ or get involved in one of its many fundraisers. One of those events is called “Lexi’s 5K Run & Walk” happening on Sunday, October 25th at Sedgwick County Park. Check it out on their page or website (I’ll post a link to the website in the comments).
