Don’s Place in Protection, Kansas was started in 1973 by Don and Cindy. And Don still works there 51-years later.
I saw him, but I was too awestruck to introduce myself. That’s so incredible. 51-years!
On my trip I got the Grilled Turkey Sandwich and the Jalepeno Tater Tots. Both were great. I don’t think I’ve ever had jalepeno tater tots before, but I thoroughly enjoyed them.
What I liked the most was being in this cool, small town, eating in a place that Don started long ago…and he’s still going! Just love that history.
