A year or two ago I went to Golden Ox in Kansas City, (1600 Genessee St.) and really enjoyed it.
This time I did not.
I ordered the Kansas City Strip which was a 16-oz, Bone-In that was Dry Aged. Along with Mac & Cheese. The strip was acceptable, but not amazing. And the service was lackluster. And that’s my nice way of saying it.
I honestly don’t think I’ll ever go back again. I know it was busy. But the complete disregard was too much for me to stomach. From waiting for 30-minutes despite having a reservation, to no apologies for the wait, to the steak being only “okay”. Oh well.
