“So…what are you doing here young man?”
I wasn’t sure what this old, apparently wise, dude, was getting at. I hadn’t been to Peerless in Wichita, Kansas in years. I was just there to get a drink after a very long and hard day of gastronoming.
“Ah. Well…old man. I’m just here after a very long and hard day of gastronoming.” I said.
Sometimes I say verbatim what is on my mind.
“Well The Kansas Gastronomist…I know who you are, and I am watching. I’m always watching. By the way…the name is Gary. Gary Karl Thomas. My friends call me GKT. Pleasure to meet me. Er. I mean you. I look forward to getting to know you down the road…..”
I didn’t hear exactly what he said…I got distracted by the plate of food brought over to Peerless by a patron from Forge ICT.
BAR NOTES: I hadn’t been to Peerless in a long time (60+ years) and it was nice to check out again. Peerless is located in Old Town Wichita.
