Harvest Kitchen & Bar in the Hyatt Regency Wichita is a spot that can easily be forgotten/not thought of by peeps. No…I’m not talking about that stupid Easter Bunny candy.

I got a cup of the Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup, as well as the Bacon Overload Pizza.

The soup was straight up wonderful. It had large chunks of chicken and great flavor.

As to the pizza, it was good, but not my PREFERENCE. Did you see how I capitalized “preference?” Here’s why. I know for a fact that for many people they would have LOVED this pizza. Why? Because it was all sorts of cheesy with less sauce. And I have been doing this long enough to know that for those folks that love a good cheese pizza and aren’t big marinara fans, they would really like this pizza. For me, I’m more of a sauce kind of Gastronomist, so it wasn’t my favorite. But it was cooked perfectly and I ate most of it.

I definitely recommend checking this spot out. Chef Katie Doornbos just recently (I think end of 2023) became the head chef at the Hyatt and rumor is that she’s been working on doing some cool things. By the way, she’s the first female head chef at Hyatt. I say…”Go Girl.” And I mean it.
