I was grateful to be invited to try out the eats that will be available tomorrow (Saturday, May 18th) from the Mediterranean Festival-St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church. It’s an annual fundraiser that has been going on since the 1930s.
Though I wasn’t able to make it in-person, I was provided a to-go container with the Green Beans and Rice, Cabbage Rolls, Kibbee, Greek Salad, Talame Bread and Baklava and able to reheat it later that evening.
Not the best photos I know, but judge the food based on that empty plate. So dang good…even reheated. I always love cabbage rolls. I could have just had a meal of solely cabbage rolls. But all of it was excellent.
This is a really cool event and is taking place from 11am-7pm. I really love the architecture and history of these old-school Orthodox Churches. So much interesting tradition and more importantly for our purposes — excellent Mediterranean food.
Location is 344 S. Martinson St., Wichita, KS 67213. You can do to-go, dine-in or drive-through.
