I ordered the Bacon, Eggs, Cheese and Potato Breakfast Burrito at Alejandros Mexican Food in Wichita, Kansas. It’s located at 1212 S. Rock Rd.
Let me start with the GOOD. The good was the young lady working the register was so upbeat, helpful and I just wouldn’t change a thing. I seriously said to myself — this is some of the best service I’ve had in awhile. Not something you’d expect at a fast food spot. At least not something I’d expect.
Now the BAD. The burrito. Okay, maybe it wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t good. To be honest, and I get a lot of compliments on my photos (many people say I take the best photos) it looked good and tasty. I liked that the tortilla was toasted. And I actually like those types of potatoes. But it was just dry. Of course you can add salsa from the complimentary salsa bar. But it just had little flavor and it was dry. I think if I were selling the burrito, I’d at least plug some salsa into the burrito to help give it a bit more flavor and not have it so dry.
I’m a big fan of breakfast burritos and frankly consider myself to be one of the world’s foremost Breakfast Burrito Gastronomists. But I also have my own preferences, so it might be that you’ll like this burrito. And moreover — one item at a restaurant doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go. The people were friendly and helpful and quick. In fact, you should check it out for those that have not.
