Kombucha is “a fermented, lightly effervescent, sweetened black tea drink.” It’s pronounced “kum-boo-cha.”
And I really enjoy the kombucha that is brewed locally in Wichita,Kansas by Apollo Fermentations. It’s not only “not bad” for you. But some of the kombucha is good for you. I think. But it’s been a minute since I played a doctor on General Hospital.
This upcoming Saturday, March 8th, Apollo Fermentations plans to open up in their new/relocated location at 150 N. Cleveland Ave., which is the southeast corner of E. First St. N & N. Cleveland Ave.
Luckily I was able to get an early look at the place. It looks fantastic as you can see. I also was able to try three of the four mocktails that will be available (Chris, the owner, plans to rotate the mocktails occasionally): (1) The White Lotus; (2) The Lil Shawty; and (3) The Sorry for Cussing. The Sorry for Cussing was a spicy margarita NA mocktail and probably my favorite.
