One of the things I have grown to admire about Ballet Wichita is when they do their “Ballet In The Park” series (every year) and go to a myriad of smaller/rural communities to engage with the community with ballet.
Not only will they be at Naftzger Park in Wichita,Kansas tomorrow (Friday, September 13th at 6pm) and the Wichita Art Museum on Saturday, September 14th at 10am. But they’ll be in Hillsboro, Kansas on Saturday, September 14th at 5pm, in Peabody, Kansas on Sunday, September 15th at 1pm, in Haysville Kansas on Sunday, September 15th at 6pm, in Maize, Kansas on Saturday, September 21st at 10am, in Goddard, Kansas on Saturday, September 21st at 3pm, in Arkansas City, Kansas on Sunday, September 22nd at 1pm and in Derby, Kansas on Sunday, September 22nd at 6pm.
Pardon me while I thank Ballet Wichita for going to a lot of rural communities to give opportunities to families to experience the ballet without driving to Wichita.

P.S. I plan to hit some of these communities up to watch the ballet and support their mission. So, if you have spots in Hillsboro, Peabody, Haysville, Maize, Goddard, Arkansas City or Derby that you want me to put on my radar — drop a note.
P.P.S. I know that Argentina’s Empanadas will be cooking up some food at the performance at Naftzger Park tomorrow (Friday, September 13th at 6pm) and that Shawarma UR’s will be slinging food at the performance in Derby on Sunday, September 22nd at 6pm.
