“So. You know why we asked you here today don’t you The Kansas Gastronomist?”
Wichita By E.B. was pacing around nervously. Lets.Eat.ICT was sitting there calm and collected as he always does.
I lit my menthol and took a long and slow drag. The Chili Cheese Dog and Grilled Cheese Sandwich sitting in front of me at Betty’s Restaurant in Douglass, Kansas looked like they needed to be eaten. And soon.
“Listen TKG. I don’t really like you. But you need to understand that Doug…your brother-in-law…is gonna take you down.” Wichita By E.B. screamed at the top of his lungs. “He’s been reaching out to all of the evil people in Kansas. It’s not looking good.” He took a seat and began to munch on the food aforementioned. “You just need to be careful.” E.B. said quietly as a small tear rolled down his upper cheek.
As we left the restaurant I knew at least two things. First, I enjoyed my trip to Betty’s. And second, i had some good friends.
FOOD NOTES: We didn’t get a burger here and this place is all about the burgers. That being said, I really enjoyed the Chili Cheese Dog we ordered up. I was also really impressed with the layout of the restaurant as well as the owner. She was so cool. Who’s Betty? Ask her.
