In case you missed this year’s 6th Annual Pumpkin Fest at Blood Orchards, here’s what went down.
Wichita By E.B., Wichi.Taco, Taste & Travel with Trent, living. lisa.lifestyle (Instagram) and your The Kansas Gastronomist judged the creations presented to us by the participating food trucks…with pumpkin used in the recipes.
Urban Skillet won Judge’s Best Pumpkin Dish with its Pumpkin Crepe. It was excellent. Love a good crepe. And Dirty Dogz food truck won Judge’s Best Use of Pumpkin with its Pumpkin Lush with pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, cream cheese, whipped cream, nuts etc. Also a shout out to Sally Sue’s NY Deli for its Pumpkin Spice Cannoli Puffs, Big Granny’s for its chili with pumpkin flavor and Frutas Y Mas for its Pumpkin Empanadas.
And of course I had to pick up a Grinch Christmas Tree ornament, hoping it would get me out of the corn maze. Didn’t work.
