To kick off the new year, here’s a review of Bob’s Drive In located in Meade, Kansas.
I stopped by not too long ago and you might have seen some reference to it — I happened to be at this cool diner when some other Gastrofans (foodies) were also checking it out and had some small talk. Shout out to the Trimbles.
This restaurant has been around for quite awhile. It’s had ownership changes, but has been a constant in the community for multiple decades. I love seeing these restaurants that have continued to be pillars of the community.
I ordered the Bob’s Burger, which was a ½ pound patty with Swiss cheese, crispy fried onions, a fried egg and BBQ sauce. It was a great diner burger. I ate every single bite. I also ordered the homemade fries, which was very tasty. No. They weren’t crispy. I don’t understand why you peeps think home fries should be crispy. They were potato-y, as they should be.
