CHEF BOYARDEE UNIVERSE
Back in February I posted about Chef Boyardee’s incredibly popular Beefaroni. This led to many of you Gastrofans reaching out to share with me your favorite characters in the Boyardee Universe.
Some suggested that Spaghetti & Meatballs might rival Beefaroni. Others suggested that Beef Ravioli or Lasagna had greater powers.
I knew the only way to figure it out was to have some sort of game. But not like a game from the beginning. More like a game at the very end. An endgame of some kind.
From left to right you have “Lasagna”, “Spaghetti & Meatballs”, “Beef Ravioli”, “Beefaroni” and “Mini Beef Ravioli & Meatballs.”
I stand by my position previously. “Beefaroni” is clearly the best — it’s the Iron Man if you will. If there were a Mount Rushmore of Chef Boyardee — Beefaroni would stand on its on. If there were a Boyardee character most akin to Thanos — the guy that tries to destroy the universe, it would be “Lasagna.”
Here are the results:
1. Beefaroni a/k/a Iron Man — the hero
2. Mini Beef Ravioli & Meatballs a/k/a Captain America — the hero’s sidekick
3. Beef Ravioli a/k/a Loki — sometimes good, sometimes bad
4. Spaghetti & Meatballs a/k/a Groot — strange looking, but you want to like it
5. Lasagna a/k/a Thanos — just bad
Personally, I thought the Lasagna was by far the worst with the Spaghetti & Meatballs being a close second (to last). I won’t be getting either of those anytime soon.
Beefaroni is clearly the Tony Stark of the Chef Boyardee Universe.
