I hadn’t been to Chester’s Chophouse & Wine Bar in Wichita, Kansas in years. Chester’s is located at The Waterfront, at 13th & Webb in Northeast Wichita.
They have an awesome happy hour everyday (including Saturdays and Sundays which surprised me) from 4:30pm-5:30pm.
1/2 priced well drinks and beer and cheaper wine. But the most important part of the happy hour is definitely the oysters. It’s all about the oysters…which are $2 a piece. I ordered three…and ate all of them. Yeah.
I was told the oysters were “Sweet Petite Oysters” from the Chesapeake Bay. I am no expert when it comes to oysters so I did a little digging into what in the heck a “sweet petite oyster” was. I think in reality, the oysters were from a place called Katama Bay which is off the coast of Rhode Island. Anyway it doesn’t matter to me. They were really great. And for $2 a shell, totally worth it.
By the way, shout-out to Logan (not sure if I spelled that correctly) who did a great job bartending.
