I had to get to Da Cajun Shak in Wichita, Kansas one more time before they permanently close. For $17.99 you can get three entrees and three sides. I figured I’d go big or go home. But I’m not a beast. I was able to spread this “meal” over three meals. For my entrees I got the Crawfish Etouffee, Red Beans and Sausage and Chicken & Sausage Gumbo. For my sides I got the Mimi’s Jambalaya, Mama’s Cajun Dirty Rice and the Breaded Okra.
My favorite entree was the Crawfish Etouffee and my favorite side was the Dirty Rice. But all of it was great. I finished the Etouffee at the restaurant and snacked on some sides and then finished the rest at a couple later meals at home.
Da Cajun Shak will be closing on March 30th for good. So if you want to get your fix…hurry up. Da Cajun Shak is located at 21st and Woodlawn at 6249 E. 21st. N.
