A day or two ago I announced that I would soon announce in the coming days a visit to an undisclosed restaurant. You were sitting on the edge of your seats with nary a detail other than a photo — the first photo on this post. Nothing else to give it away.
Well, after days of anticipation and people putting their lives on hold and me receiving more messages than a group chat on Signal, I’m pleased to announce that I visited Deano’s on Pier 37 in western Wichita.
Have I poked enough fun yet at peeps that make announcements that they will be making an announcement? Fine. I’ll stop.
I was quite impressed with the west side Deano’s. Both the architecture/interior and the service. But first, let’s talk food. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and a cup of the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Every week Deano’s has a “featured” soup and entree. These were this week’s “featured.” I liked the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, and my server, Sydney’s recommendation of adding bacon was spot on. I LOVED the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Had excellent flavor.
As for the interior/architecture — it was beautiful. The upstairs with the wall of T.V.’s, and the upstairs and main level patios overlooking the man made lake was pretty cool.
Finally, Sydney, my server, did an excellent job at fielding a ton of questions and being engaging. She was fire 
. Tip her early and often.
