If you’re looking to be intentional during the month of February to support a black-owned business, a good suggestion is Fish and More in southeast Wichita.
I absolutely LOVE the catfish fillets with the hot sauce. That hot sauce is so good and the fillets are pretty meaty in my opinion. They are also not overly seasoned — a light seasoning is what I prefer and that’s what you get here. For my sides I ordered the Black Eyed Peas and the Greens. And the meal comes with corn bread. All of the sides were good, but the black eyed peas are incredible.
Make sure to support these small restaurants that give your city the charm and character that it has. Fish and More is located at 4857 E. Harry, just east of the QuickTrip at Harry & Oliver.
