Unlike me, a lot of you don’t spend enough time with your sister.
I was hanging out with Doug’s Wife (my sister) the other day. But she was watching a bunch of stupid true crime TV shows and it was super annoying. So, to get away from her for a few glorious minutes I drove to FUSA in Wichita over at Kellogg & Greenwich.
I picked up the Fusa Chicken Burrito Bowl to munch on and grabbed the Chicken Quesadillas for Doug’s Wife. We also grabbed a couple orders of fries.
On the plus side…those fries are the best. Seriously. These fries might be in my top two in Wichita. They remind me of the fries at Fizz Burgers & Bottles or Five Guys. Definitely these fries are tops for me. I love those “potato(y)” fries.
On the minus side…as for the Fusa Chicken Burrito Bowl, it was not my jam. It comes with rice, avocado, black beans, cheese and shredded lettuce. All great ingredients, but I was not a fan of the sauce that envelopes the ingredients. Obviously it impacts the entire profile of the dish. With that said, this is TOTALLY just a taste preference. Some of you might love it, but the sauce was just too sweet and creamy for me. As for the Chicken Quesadillas, I did not try them. But Doug’s Wife was not a fan. She said there was little or no cheese.
That being said, there a lot of dishes I love at FUSA. I love the Cajun Jambalaya, Pot Stickers, Cheeseburger, Bombay Chicken Noodle and Beef Chow Fun, for example. All of which I have blogged about in the past.
