It’s been YEARS since I’d been to Georges French Bistro in Wichita, Kansas. In fact I’ve never blogged about this spot before because that’s how long it has been.
But it was just as good, if not better, then I remembered.
Is it pricey? Yes. Can I afford to go there everyday? No. But is it worth going to, even if it’s just for a special occasion or whatever? Yes, yes and yes.
Since it had been awhile since I’d been, I went all out. Ordered the Poutine as an app. It had been tenderloin, cheese curds and gravy over fries and then provolone cheese over the top of that. Holy cow.
Doug’s wife (my sister) ordered the Steak Frites, which I got to eat part of. The sauce is amazing and the steak is just cooked perfectly.
My entree was the Barramundi with risotto and spinach. The fish was flaky and tasty and the spinach had this flavor that just paired so well with the risotto.
Georges is just an awesome experience every time I have been. No matter how much time passes. It is located at 4618 E. Central Ave.
