I’ve blogged about fourteen spots in Garden City, Kansas — I know my Garden City restaurants.
So, when I received a message back in July from a Gastrofan (shoutout to Leah Redding!) telling me about a restaurant named “Hanna’s Corner Restaurant” (no socials that I can find) on the west side of Garden City…I was quite suprised that I hadn’t heard of it.
This spot has been around for 26-years, and they make most everything in house. Even the mashed potatoes and the gravy are homemade.
When I asked the gal that took care of me (Carly…hopefully got the spelling right) about the Spaghetti special and whether she liked it, she said “it’s a 10 out of 10…er a 15 out of 15.” So in addition to the mashed potatoes that had already been recommended, I ordered that. And of course, you know how much I love chili and when someone says “we have homemade chili,” there’s only one response from me — I get it.
I REALLY enjoyed my visit to Hanna’s Corner Restaurant. A lot. I sat up at the counter they have and all the people were friendly (including the patrons). And the servers were friendly, particularly Carly. This is a place that I will definitely visit again someday and suggest you put on your list of spots to try if you’re in the area.
Hanna’s Corner is located at 2603 N. Taylor Ave. in Garden City.
