People get excited about “average” too often.
So many folks talking about Hawaiian Bros Island Grill, which just opened in Wichita, Kansas over on the east side by Chicken N Pickle. Like it was the second coming of you know who. In reality it was average.
I definitely don’t recommend the wrap. Bland. Now, the Huli Huli chicken that was inside (I got the Huli Huli Chicken Wrap) had very good flavor. But otherwise, nah. Unless you like dry wraps with no flavor other than the chicken. As for the Luau Pig entree, it was fine. The shredded pork was okay. Macaroni salad was average.
I wonder if peeps forgot about Noble House Hawaiian Restaurant over on the west side at 21st & Amidon. I like the macaroni salad there more and also like the pork more. To be fair, I might like the chicken more at Hawaiian Bros.
I’m not saying the food was bad at Hawaiian Bros. I’m saying it’s average. Will I go back? Sure. At some point. But I’m not going to say “oh my gawd you have to try Hawaiian Bros.” Hawaiian Bros is definitely the fast food of Hawaiian food.
