I wasn’t sure at the time why I took that first photo you see. I guess it was because I thought it was noteworthy — Aaron, the owner of Tor Brewing in the same line of sight as Tori, the co-owner of Hopping Gnome Brewing Company. And to the right in the same photo, you cannot see, but there sits a Central Standard Brewing pop-up tent.
Collaboration over competition. Love it.
I feel like that is what Kansans are at our core. Or strive to be. Neighbor helping neighbor. Brother helping brother. Lifting up, not tearing down. I don’t know.
It’s kind of ironic…the weather has been less than ideal the last few days and no Kansas teams made it to March Madness in Wichita INTRUST Bank Arena. And many of the vendors that have pop-ups/trucks in the parking lots and otherwise, have not been as busy as anticipated.
If you haven’t been to the parties/get togethers in the footprint around INTRUST Bank Arena, you NEED to. It’s bad ass.
