The Kansas Gastronomist took a long drag and threw the remainder of his menthol on the pavement, grinding the butt with the heel of his boot.
As he opened up the door to Krispy’s Fried Chicken & Seafood located in Wichita, Kansas at 3009 S. Hillside St., he could smell the scent of fresh fried chicken and knew he was in for a treat. A tasty fried treat.
After he sat down at his table he looked at his plunder. Two pieces of fried chicken? Check. Two catfish fillets? Check. Corn nuggets? Duh.
Let’s do this!” he silently screamed to himself as he scarfed down some of that tasty fried chicken. It was…krispy with a “k,” and plenty of chicken. He loved every bite.
RESTAURANT NOTES: Krispy’s Fried Chicken & Seafood makes an appearance on Wichita By E.B.’s must visit spots on the southside of town and Fert The Foodie has always visited this spot (I think he often goes on “National Fried Chicken Day”). So shout out to them for influencing me to finally make it. I know. I should do better. I really liked the fried chicken. To be honest, I wasn’t a fan of the catfish — just not enough flavor. And the corn nuggets were delicious.
