Shout out to Fert The Foodie for alerting me to the very existence of the new food truck Kusina Ni Cheska. It’s a Filipino food truck in Wichita, Kansas and they have been doing pop-ups for awhile. They were a vendor at Wichita Asian Night Market (for example) though I did not see them.

I did briefly meet up with Wichita By E.B. to grab some grub. But he told me that he had better things to do than hang out with gastronomists. I get it. I do too.

The truck was parked at Welch Cleaners on S. Hillside and Lincoln and one of the options was the “Basic Platter” for $12. It came with two main dishes and two sides. I got the Pork Liempo (pork belly) and the Chicken Kabob for my mains and I ordered the Lumpia (egg rolls) and Pansit (fried noodles) as my sides.

Everything was fantastic. I really enjoyed the Lumpia.

The only annoying thing was they didn’t have any ranch dressing.
