“Order. Order. Order!!!!” I yawped as I did a triple backflip while holding my ‘Oh Christmas Tree’ cocktail steady and performing a landing that would have made Simone Biles jealous.
“Jackstacks.Eats, it’s time to start the meeting! Do the “amen thing” so we can get on with it. Jackstacks grinned at me sheepishly (everyone knows what I’m talking about) as Plate Envy slapped his leg and they said in unison “Amen!!! Let’s Dig In!”
I lit my menthol. I needed it. Wasn’t sure if Larcher’s Market allowed smoking, but that was the least of my worries.
“Go on DJ 4TheWin, tell us exactly what you witnessed the other night.” I began.
“Yeah…so, like I was telling Tayshaw Long-Nail” DJ4TheWin said as he pointed toward Tayshaw. “Me, Wichi.Taco and Lisa.Lifestyle.ICT (Instagram) were minding our own business and this horrible, ugly, hideous man came up to us and he kind of talked like an idiot and said something like ‘Hey can I pay you to knock off TKG!!!!’”
The room went silent. It was a deafening silence. Until one voice rose above all the others (actually it was the only voice).
“The Kansas Gastronomist, I promise you one thing. I swear to you….I will Sizzle the Bizzle out of Doug!!!! If you catch my drift.” Jackstacks said as he, Wichi.Taco, Lisa.Lifestyle.ICT, Plate Envy, DJ4TheWin and Tayshaw Long-Nails slowly rose up from the comfy couches that were incidentally throughout the Sparky’s Holiday Pop-Up at Larcher’s Market in Wichita, Kansas.
RESTAURANT/FOOD NOTES: Reservations at Sparky’s Holiday Pop-Up at Larcher’s Market are from 5pm-8pm. Walk-ins are welcome. There’s a couple of special menus for this pop-up (check out the menu photos). One of my drinks was comped and my entree was comped. I did order a second of my drink and paid full price and that’s because it was so damn good — the Oh Christmas Tree cocktail. And the entree I got was the Grilled Fish Sando, which was a Mahi-Mahi sandwich. I REALLY enjoyed it and would order it again. A cool option to check out over the next few weeks!
