Usually when I go to Lina’s mexican restaurant centralLina’s Mexican Restaurant in Wichita,Kansas near the cross streets of N. Oliver Ave. and E. Central Ave., I just go through the drive-through. But luckily this last time I decided to go inside.
I noticed a small hand-written sign that said “Now serving Menudo,” and decided to give that a whirl, along with some pork green chili and the #5 (two enchiladas meal).
I thought the menudo had excellent flavor and did NOT taste like I was at a fast food Mexican restaurantrant. It definitely had heat. I also enjoyed the pork green chili, but beware. I saw the Green Chili Burrito (that’s the only spot on the menu that I saw referencing green chili) and asked if I could just get the green chili with tortillas. So, if you want to get what I ordered, you will have to special order the green chili NOT in the burrito.
As far as the enchiladas, they were just average. But I rarely get excited about enchiledas. Enchiladas are meant for babies and weirdos.
As an aside, the family that owns Lina’s also own and operate approximately ten Lina’s in Nebraska in the Omaha area.
