“Ah….so you’re The Kansas Gastronomist…eh?” Mayor Lily Wu asked as TKG took another sip of his margarita from Chicken N Pickle.
The judges at Margaritas & Mojitos 2024 put on by Festive ICT were at their designated spots doing their designated things.
“Yeah. Yeah. Don’t pay him any mind Mayor. TKG’s an idiot. Always has been!” Lets.Eat.ICT shouted out.
It was just another day for TKG. Being judgy was the thing he most excelled at. That, and doing toasts.
“A toast…may you live as long as you want…and not want as long as you live!” TKG cheered. Wichi.Taco and Wichita By E.B. joined the toast along with the other judges.
Ultimately the judges picked Chicken N Pickle as the best Margarita and Emerson Biggins as the best Mojito. It was a blind tasting and taken seriously by all — the judges had no idea what spot the drinks were from. And the “regular” people voted too. The People’s Choice for best Margarita went to Los Compadres Mexican Grill and the People’s Choice for best Mojito went to Good Company Taps & Spirits.
Shout out to El Gusto ICT and its flavorful Quesabirria Taco and Rice’n Tings and its tasty Jamaican Beef Patty. Also shout out to the other margaritas/mojito vendors including iTzcali Tapas and Tequila, The Rusty Nail and Walker’s Jazz Lounge.
