To celebrate the opening of the second location of The Artichoke Sandwichbar (Artichoke Sandwichbar East) located at 29th St. and Rock Rd. in Wichita, Kansas, I am trying every sandwich on the menu.
Here are the matches so far:
1. Match 1 – Twisted Seester beat Corned Beef
2. Match 2 – The Knockout! beat The Turkey
3. Match 3 – The Roly Moly beat Notorious P.I.G.
4. Match 4 – THE Famous No. 8 beat the Roast Beef
This is Match 5.
Match 5 is The Pastrami v. The Reuben. In one corner (The Pastrami) you have lean peppered pastrami, Swiss cheese and mustard. Sounds basic — but this basic is good. And in the other corner (The Reuben) you have corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing
This was a close one folks. A close one. But I gotta give it to the Reuben. An AWESOME sandwich for sure. So, the Reuben lives to see another day.
