To celebrate the opening of Artichoke Sandwichbar East located at 29th St. and Rock Rd. in Wichita, Kansas, I am trying every sandwich on the menu.
Here are the matches so far:
1. Match 1 – Twisted Seester beat Corned Beef
2. Match 2 – The Knockout! beat The Turkey
3. Match 3 – The Roly Moly beat Notorious P.I.G.
4. Match 4 – THE Famous No. 8 beat the Roast Beef
5. Match 5 – The Reuben beat The Pastrami
This is Match 6. For this match Live Local joined me (clearly I’m desperate for friends), but it worked out because we could split our sandwiches.
Match 6 is The Seester v. Nancy’s Roast Beef. In one corner (The Seester) you have pastrami, bacon, Swiss & cream cheese with mustard and jalapeños. And in the other corner (Nancy’s Roast Beef) you have roast beef, Swiss and cream cheese, lettuce and tomato with ranch.
The VERY slight edge went to Nancy’s Roast Beef. Enjoyed that roast beef flavor and that was the difference.
