I’d been to Mirai Ramen & Sushi in Wichita, Kansas at 37th & Woodlawn once before and enjoyed my Curry Ramen.
This time I ordered the Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen for my entree and shared the Okonomiyaki, which is a Japanese seafood cabbage pancake with squid, shrimp and octopus, with mayo, takoyaki sauce with spicy mayo.
I was 50/50 on the ramen. Meaning I thought it was alright, but not great. The broth had some flavor, but not enough. And I felt the noodles were undercooked as they were too firm and slightly difficult to chew. But on the other hand, the Okonomiyaki was amazing! It was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. I would absolutely get it again and recommend that. And as mentioned, when I previously ordered the Curry Ramen on another visit, I enjoyed it. So, perhaps this time was a one-off.
