Anthony and Emily Mock started the food truck Mock ‘N’ Roll approximately 2 1/2 years ago. It’s based out of Minneola. But I swear they go everywhere. This is the second time I’ve had this truck. The first time was in Greensburg, Kansas. This time they were in Spearville City of Windmills COW Fest in Spearville, Kansas — a town a lot of my Gastrofans may have not have heard of.
Anthony actually went to culinary school in Oregon and was a sous chef at Gella’s Diner & Lb. Brewing Co. in Hays, Kansas. Sometimes I think my “big city” followers don’t fully appreciate that you have peeps like Anthony with such legit experience sometimes in a food truck on the side of the road in a town you’re just “passing through.” Actually the first time I stopped at Mock I just happened on it. This time it was by design though.
I went with the Turkey on Pita. It had a fantastic sauce to it. But the must-get item was the fried Mac & Cheese. Holy Mother of Larry…they were amazing. Absolutely you must get it.
