I have been wanting to go to Munchopotomus pop-up at The Shamrock Lounge for a long time. I don’t know how long. A long time. It’s only open Thursday nights from 6pm until it runs out of food.
Let’s cut to the chase. HOLY COW. I really enjoyed it for so many reasons.
In the words of my buddy — the fish tacos that Chef Erin MADE TO ORDER were a perfect 10. They were. I couldn’t think of one thing I would change. Not a thing. Well, maybe that I should have ordered four instead of three.
And the Chicken Noodle Casserole that Chef Colton made? Well, let’s just say I ordered a full order for my friend and me to share. Then we ordered another full order. And then we ordered a half order to take home. Does that tell you anything? If not, you’re dense.
And the Wonton Dip with Wonton Chips? They were great too. And how unique.
So, here’s the deal — Chef Erin started doing this popup four or five years ago at The Shamrock Lounge just west of the Historic Delano District in Wichita,Kansas. And she does it because she loves to cook and because she loves to help new aspiring chefs get started. It is really cool what she and they are doing.
This is a place you absolutely 100% should put on your list. And if you see this and are hungry and are in Wichita — go get some fish tacos or chicken noodle casserole.
