After Doug (TKG’s brother-in-law) read about Wichita By E.B.’s 2024 Top 100 Restaurants in Wichita, Kansas and saw that both E.B. and Fert The Foodie had been to Oh Yeah! China Bistro, but The Kansas Gastronomist had not — he knew he had to go.
Doug was a simpleton. But he had learned some things over the years from TKG — though he’d never give TKG credit. And one of those things? Always order the Spicy Pork.
Doug ordered the lunch special Spicy Pork. It came with the pork, steamed (or fried) rice, egg roll, crab rangoon and some fried sides. And he LOVED the Spicy Pork. It was not too spicy, but had some heat. Significantly Spicy would scoff at him saying it was spicy, but SS was crazy. Regardless, it was so scrumptious.
And by the way, Doug thought the egg roll was really good, along with the Crab Rangoon. In fact, even though he didn’t generally like Crab Rangoons, he thought this one was excellent.
Doug decided that if he had a food blog, he would tell the people that he highly recommended going to Oh Yeah! China Bistro and ordering the Spicy Pork. But he hadn’t decided what else he would say.
So he just stopped thinking.
